Data2.cash is a user data assets trading protocol that aims to empower users to own the value created by their data and form a composable user portrait layer.
"If you’re not paying for the product, then you are the product"
All the behavioral data you generate in web2 applications, such as click, follow, and purchase data, are stored in centralized databases. This means that companies entirely control your data, and they can make money by selling it (actually this is what they do every day).
However, while they plunder the data, they don't always use it wisely. Tech giants will not share their data with other companies, as it is one of their competitive advantages. As a result, the data is not utilized to its full potential.
However, data is non-competitive, meaning that each time it is used, it can generate value without being damaged.
If we could store all the data we generate in a single data layer accessible by various applications, the value generated by the same amount of data would be greater.
Additionally, by having this data layer, users could, for the first time, have control over their own data.
Thanks to the composability of Web3, the data layer will become a reality.
Data2.cash takes this concept even further, allowing users not only to control their own data but also to generate passive income from their data.
Data users, on the other hand, can access user data by using Data2.cash API. With data barriers broken down, new applications no longer need to start from scratch in collecting user data - they can access a wealth of comprehensive user data as soon as they connect to the data layer.
